Remember how much fun it was creating brand new Pigs and Sheep for our friends over the Father’s Day weekend? Well, Zynga heard you loud and clear: having a better shot at making baby Lambs and Piglets that share their father’s patterns is a big thrill to FarmVille players, which is why Zynga is increasing the percentage of which that will happen.
Stating on their official forums that the successful event brought along such a positive reaction, the company has decided to up the ante and increase the success rate of passing along the father’s pattern to a whopping 50% of the time. We don’t know the hard numbers on the success rates for the patterns being passed along right now, but given our personal experience with the Sheep and Pig Breeding, we’re guessing it’s nowhere near that – we get a pattern exchange about 1 in 8 tries, so an increase to the flip of a coin in fairly significant.
Here is what Zynga had to say on their community forums regarding the change:
“Breeding is going to get better! Due to the popularity and high demand for the feature, the chance of Dads passing on their patterns to their children will go up to 50%! Moms no longer impact pattern inheritance but can influence the color of their children! So prepare your sheep and pigs, start stocking up on love potions and gather your bottles because breeding is going to get more fun!!!”
That sounds like a lot of fun to us, and might be enough to drag us back into Breeding! What about you? Are you happy with the impending change?
